The opening of our opening sequence starts with a child in the middle of a dark abondonded street as this will be seen through a cctv camera the picture may be fuzzy but the music will help to address the scene and connate to the audience the genre of the film. We were looking to use a creepy children's nursery rhyme, such as ring around the rosie. The nursery rhyme will try to convey a demonic yet innocent child to our teenage audience. Below are a few possible ideas that I came across when doing a YouTube search. However the problem with using music or sound tracks from YouTube is that they may be unlicensed so we would get in trouble for copyright but there are many ways to overcome this situation one is to get a child to sing a nursey rhyme and edit it on a music software such as garage band or use another website that allows us to download free music that could be used in our opeing sequence, or use a piece that someone created and upload on Youtube and add them to our credits to show that the music was not our own. Anyone of these can help us create a chilling erie effect that is needed in our opening sequence.
Ring around the rosie
Its Raining, Its Pouring
Itsy Bitsey Spider
A Creepy child noise
For the final product we decided not to use any of the sound/music tracks abvove as once they were all put in place they either sounded to repetive or did not fit what we had in mind. Instead we used diegetic music wich is a convention of a teen horror; a heartbeat. I feel that this was the best decision to make as it created pace and tension for te audience and it meant that they expected/realised that something bad was going to happen. Below is a you tube video that had a similar heartbeat sound to the one used in our opening film sequence.
